Pediatric Dentist
A pediatric dentist focuses on the dental care of younger children from
a little as 1 to 2 years old to early adulthood. They can perform all
aspects of dentistry and are specially trained in the management of special
needs children. They can detect and correct early on if there are problems
with decayed, missing, crowded or malpositioned teeth. Pediatric Dentists
have at least two years of additional specialty training beyond the four
years of dental school.
