Dr. Denis Britto graduated
his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Virginia Commonwealth
University. In addition to his dental degree, Dr. Britto also earned the
degrees of Master of Science in Dentistry (Oral Biology) and a certificate
in Orthodontics from Indiana University. Throughout his training he received
numerous awards and honors including admission to Omicron Kappa Upsilon
(the National Dental Honorary Society), and an American Association of
Dental Research Excellence Award.
Upon graduation, Dr. Britto served as both an Instructor and Assistant
Professor of Dentistry (Orthodontics) at the Medical College of Virginia.
He currently has a part-time appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor
of Orthodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, where
he instructs graduate students in training to be orthodontists. In addition,
his academic credentials include the publication of numerous scientific
and clinical articles and many speaking engagements locally, nationally,
and internationally.
Dr. Britto is a board-eligible Orthodontist with extensive experience
in adolescent and adult orthodontics, Invisalign, and complex cases requiring
combined orthodontic/ orthognathic (jaw) surgery. He works in close cooperation
with the general dentists and other specialists located at the Reston
Dental Arts Center, and in the community, to assure that efficient, comprehensive
care is provided. Dr. Britto and his team take great pride in incorporating
the latest scientific and clinical information in treatment provided to
their patients.
Dr. Britto is married to Dr. Carol Saldanha-Britto. They enjoy worldwide
travel, multicultural experiences and taking care of their son Nicholas.
